As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining inventory health and ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Working closely with production, operations, and supply chain teams, you will use data-driven insights to identify risks, resolve inventory challenges, and strengthen material availability across the business. You will investigate inventory variances, uncover root causes, and implement sustainable solutions that improve accuracy and reliability. In addition, you will help drive continuous improvement initiatives that optimize material flow, reduce waste, and support lean manufacturing practices.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Ensure materials and products are available to meet internal customer and production demands.
• Conduct daily inventory analysis to identify risks, shortages, and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely system updates.
• Own inventory management activities within assigned operational areas.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement preventative actions.
• Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to communicate material availability and resolve issues.
• Champion a strong safety culture that protects people, equipment, and facilities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance material flow and support lean manufacturing practices.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or GED with 8+ years of relevant logistics experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing operations, logistics, warehousing, shipping, or inventory management.
• Experience implementing or supporting lean material flow initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio; experience with SAP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
