The Opportunity

Hitachi has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer focused Parts Interpreter to join the Brisbane team. This position will see you focus on the coordination and supply of quality parts to both external customers and internal stakeholders, maintaining a high level of service delivery whilst achieving sales targets.




Reporting to the Parts & Service Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Providing service to external (our much loved customer base) and internal (service department) customers for the supply of quality parts
• Interpreting, identifying and supplying parts to meet customer requirements
• Sourcing parts externally as required
• Initiating invoices for parts
• Working to and exceeding sales targets by identifying additional sales opportunities
• Updating and maintain computer records including MS Dynamics
• Resolving invoice and purchase order discrepancies

To be successful you will:

• Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
• A great attitude to learning, development and growth
• Previous experience in a parts environment is desired but not essential
• A developed mechanical understanding
• High level of computer literacy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Forklift license is not essential but preferable
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics would be highly advantageous
• An understanding of earthmoving / construction equipment would be a distinct advantage but is not essential
