Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated FLEET MAINTENANCE PLANNER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Madrid - SPAIN.

Mission
Ensure the services standards, review and updating of effective and efficient train scheduling in order to meet maintenance requirements.
Accountabilities
Be proficient in the maintenance activities to be performed on the fleet of vehicles so that the planning of the maintenance stops is adjusted to what is really needed. Liaise with the train operator and the Maintenance Coordinators in order to plan the stops of the convoys for first and second level maintenance (return to depot, positioning of trains in specific tracks…), considering the necessities of the commercial service and the maintenance workforce, materials and infrastructure available. Ensure the management of the scheduling of the maintenance stops of the convoys in order to promptly update the Maintenance Team. Lead the operational readiness planning for special necessities from both the maintainer and the operator (ex. Campaigns of inspections/modifications, Special Events…), ensuring that the maintenance schedule modifications requested are implemented efficiently, minimizing the impact on the maintenance activities

From 5 to 10 years of experience
Railway equipment/Environment experience
Risk Management
Negotiation skills
Use or Maintenance Management Tools
Solid knowledge in planning tools: MS Project. Knowledge of Primavera will be considered a plus
IT Tools: Microsoft Office, Power BI
Education / Qualifications
Technical Degree or Equivalent Technical Background
Languages
English and Italian knowledge will be considered a plus
