Position is responsible for Document Control, the Engineering Change Notices, Distribution Process, and participating in the project management of documentation repositories and secured distribution of technical documents. These documents include product specifications, product maintenance manuals, marketing collateral, engineering change notices, and software. Participate in the activities and project management of storing, retrieving, updating, and distributing engineering/manufacturing documentation such as engineering change notices (ECN), part lists, specifications, and the user documentation. Assist in the preparation and review of ECNs. This function requires an individual that works well in a team, is organized, pays close attention to detail, and is well versed in project management principals.
The candidate will interface with individuals from Hitachi Japan, Hitachi Vantara Product Management and Support Management, and OEM and authorized partners on technical documentation needs and requirements. Must adhere to protection and security of sensitive and confidential documentation materials as directed by the Hitachi Vantara Legal and Global Trade Compliance Departments. Department is key to product launches and maintaining products over their service life cycles.

Job Functions / Essential Job Duties
Participate in the following Job functions
1. The management & project management of the Document Tracking and Control System (Receipt/Distribution Logs, Email d-lists
2. Managing the Flow of Technical Documentation (DocWeb/CCB/FTP/HCPAW/JIRA)
3. Document Management on the Internal and External Servers (TISC/Support Connect)
4. Review and report any documentation discrepancies to the original engineering teams. Act as liaison on ensuring quality of documents
5. Working in the team being responsible ensuring quality of the documents
6. Assist with the support of the TISC (Technical Information Service Center) and Support Connect webpages content. .
7. Process document part numbers and data entry
8. Participate in Internal and External Meetings

Primary Qualifications
1. Education Includes: BA/BS degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
2. Two years or more experience as a Technical Document control specialist
3. Self-directed and work independently and highly motivated.
4. Must also work well in a team
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Must be well versed with Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Information Protection.
8. Nice to have working knowledge of JIRA.
