Summary of the position:

We are seeking a dynamic team member that will be responsible for creating connections with potential new Sullair customers to enable higher sales growth.  This role will assist with our business development efforts by introducing our products and services via calls and email to prospective customers.  Given specific targeted prospect lists and product training, this individual will generate interest through promoting our products and services through cold calls, discuss the customers’ needs and how Sullair solutions can fulfill those needs, and properly handoff the connection to the external sales teams for follow-up and sale execution. This position will serve as the foundation of a growing an exciting lead generation program and will play a key role in shaping future programs and sales lead campaigns.

This position will work at Sullair Chicago, 8700 West Bryn Mawr, Chicago, Illinois. 

Responsibilities:

  • Target potential customers through outbound calls daily using data provided to prequalify leads
  • Effectively communicate and present Sullair products and value propositions to customers
  • Handle customer requests (e.g., to place an order) proactively and involve other company departments, as needed
  • Work closely with their manager to ensure leads are generated within various business sectors
  • Convert calls to sales leads within the company database
  • Input and maintain customer information in the company database
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment and independently
  • Assist with other departments, as required

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree or 2-3 years’ experience in telemarketing sales
  • Proficiency with MS Office Excel
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Experience with a technical product or compressed air equipment is a plus
