Summary of the position:

This role is key to the organization to support the development of strategies, tools and processes necessary for direct and indirect channel partners to succeed in the marketplace.  The work will directly influence end user experience and business results.

This position is located at Sullair, 8700 West Bryn Mawr, Chicago, Illinois.

Duties and responsibilities:

Market Management and Strategy:

  • Work closely with Market Management and Inside Sales Leader to develop, define and deploy optimum go-to-market strategies.
  • Manage Market Insight Tools (i.e., MoneyMap) and drive initiatives that support, develop, and grow the market opportunity.
  • Set KPI’s i.e., growth targets to achieve optimum market growth in collaboration with market manager and Regular Business Review (RBR) process.
  • Recommend vertical market and customer targeting actions (list) for inside sales and lead generation activities.
  • Determine the appropriate route to market product offerings, marketing strategies, sales tools, and processes necessary to be successful to the market profile in coordination with the market manager.
  • Consolidate data and analyses trends and opportunities through reports that deliver actionable insights for the market management teams. Assist to translate sales plans into various presentations to communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Lead trainings for commercial and sale steams on latest sales enablement tools, practices and information.
  • Provide strategic functional leadership, as well as strong people leadership, across multiple functions and geographies.  Create strategy and plans that enable growth in market share and existing regions.
  • Assess new business opportunities, interface with marketing and sales team.

Demand Planning and Sales Enablement:

  • Work with aftermarket to design and implement parts inventory / forecasting control modules aimed at improved aftermarket retention to the markets.  This includes monthly guidance on long-term market demand, as well as weekly sales activity pulse/tracking, driving for accuracy, while identifying opportunities and risk areas.
  • Support the roadmap, development and deployment of sales enablement tools and training designed to aid direct and indirect channel sales effectiveness and capability.
  • Manage the CRM and sales tools through implementation and adoption.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional business acumen and passionate about working with direct and indirect sales teams to deliver a frictionless customer experience that results in business growth.
  • Outstanding communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • Passionate about and have experience with marketing strategies and commercialization.
  • Proactive change agent. You have a passion for continuous improvement and improving sales effectiveness through deployment of sales enablement tools.
  • Strong analytical foundation with the ability to identify business and market trends and creatively draw inferences regarding growth opportunities.
  • Comfortable working with operations teams for Demand and Inventory planning.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field required

Professional experience:

  • 5-7 years of work experience in commercial / sales roles, product management or marketing disciplines. B2B industrial market experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing a team of data analysts.
  • Experience in industrial equipment and Lean Six Sigma business environment preferred.  
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
