Job Summary

A Dynamic Purchasing professional to keep a basket of vendors with differential capabilities on cost, reliability, and flexibility & evaluate based on the need. Good Communication & Strong Negotiation Skill, Dynamic and Willing to take up challenges, adaptability to any changes. Should be able to make continuous improvement on the process. Should have good experience in items Purchase/should have good bargain skills.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for procuring the items required Project wise based on RFQ

  • Responsible for maintaining the stock inventory of items

  • Coordination & follow up with all vendors

  • Developing Purchase Summary Reports

  • OEM experience in Procurement Management with experience of complete life cycle.

  • Good knowledge in Mechanical Electrical & Control Parts of BIW Automation

  • Communication with onsite and understand the Purchase requisition/ modification

  • Should Have Experience with Japanese Customer

  • Intermediate checking with cross functional team

  • Develop new vendors as per co standard

  • Cost reduction through import indigenous

  • Guide team on continuous quality improvement 

  • Knowledge on Product Quality, Product Finance, and cost

  • Experience in supplier selection based on complexity and tool cost

  • Any additional responsibility from time to time

  • Identifying the need.

  • Supplier evaluation and selection.

  • Purchase order.

  • Delivery.

Specialized Knowledge, skills, abilities :

  • Managing RFQ process based on Engineering Requisition raised for Mechanical, Electrical and Automation Products for BIW Robotics welding lines.

  • He should have the knowledge of the Mechanical, Pneumatic, & Electrical items which are used in Robotics Automation & Manufacturing field.

  • Manage Supplier Sourcing & Contractual agreement with vendors

  • Leading sourcing activities based on cost quality & delivery parameters

  • Negotiate and finalize the orders as per Project contract Tender requirement

  • Development of New suppliers for Mechanical, Electrical & Automation

  • Manage complex contractual agreement with vendors

  • Work with cross functions for various value engineering initiatives including cost optimization through alternate specification, material, Indigenization etc.

  • Handling Post order site issues for quick resolution.

  • Experience in Procurement of Robotic Automation Items/ Parts like Mitsubishi, CKD, SMC, OMRON IDEC, IFM, Panasonic, Misumi etc. is preferred.


Any one of the following:

  • B.E. (Mechanical/Automobile/Production/Electrical Engineering).

  •  Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Software Required: MS office & ERP.

Experience: Minimum 6-8 years

Language Proficiency : English, Hindi & Knowing JAPANESE will be added advantage
