Summary

Hitachi America, Ltd. (HAL: www.hitachi-america.us) is looking for a Benefits Intern to join their Corporate Benefits team in White Plains, NY. The Benefits Intern will perform benefit administration, as well as financial and operational analysis, of Hitachi America, Ltd.’s benefit programs.  In this role he/she will be responsible for the procedural documentation of Health and Welfare, Defined Contribution, Deferred Compensation and voluntary benefit plans. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with research, filing, data entry, recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Provide support to the Benefits Team in respect to benefit payroll processing and general support.
  • Work with internal and external data systems to analyze and report on benefit plans.
  • Prepare materials (memos, spreadsheets, charts, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) for management’s use at various committee meetings.
  • Assist in day to day administration of benefit programs.
  • Develop written material to document processes, provide reference materials, and convey information to appropriate parties.

Requirements

  • Must be actively pursuing a bachelors degree at an accredited educational institution.
  • Must have at least 2 years of academic undergraduate studies completed.
  • Proficient in the use of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
