Job Purpose: Responsible for simulation activities (based on Finite-Element Analyses) on brake systems. Lead technical interface in the project, internally and towards the customer and responsible of product definition.
1. Lead technical activities
Simulation activities of all types to support application projects.
Improve existing simulation methods & tools and alignment with other region to get better accuracy & co-relation.
Set-up simulation standards and guidelines.
Manage one or several mechanical product solutions in an application project (or acquisition) on spec, on time and on cost
Coordinate and plan technical activities (internally and with the customer) in alignment with the project
Support and coordination of overall product validation (Performance on bench, NVH and vehicle tests)
Authorize delivery of samples to customer
Represent internally the customer towards plant, suppliers and other stakeholders
Alert in case of deviation according to internal rules
2. Ensure technical activities are driven according to internal standards
In charge of the technical definition according to customer requirements and internal design rules
Lead the design reviews internally and participate to review with suppliers when necessary
3. Documentation and continuous improvement
Ensure project technical documentation and other project related documents
Contribute to product continuous improvement through lessons learnt

Excellent theoretical knowledges in the field of mechanical engineering and especially stress/strain analyses, mechanical vibrations, non-linear analyses, thermomechanical analyses
Overall good product and system knowledge (Preference – Brakes industry)
Good overview of development and validation process
Good overview of CAD/PLM tool – team center, 3D-Experience, CATIA/UG/Ideas
DFMEA, Design Review, DFM/DFA Reviews, Tolerance Stack-up & Design Calculations
