We have an exciting opportunity for a Verification and Validation Team Lead to join us working in a dynamic team based in our Perth office. This role will work with a team of Traffic Management System V&V Engineers Engineers in collaboration with the Development Lead and will report directly to the Work Package Lead. 

The suitable candidate will have experience in or knowledge of software intensive systems testing and integration activities, software verification and validation best practices and safety critical techniques, based on international standards, with a strong desire to improve software quality and test efficiency.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities will include but not limited to:

  • Review Client Engineering Change Notices, Requirements and Design Notes to determine scope and timelines for Test Campaigns
  • Verify that Work Items (software changes) have been through appropriate Code Reviews and have a clear Proposed Solution prior to allocating for testing
  • Allocate test priorities (Testing new features, defect testing, regression testing)
  • Coordinate capacity testing and collection / collation of KPIs
  • Coordinate preparation  for customer demonstrations / Factory Acceptance Testing
  • Take ownership of the Verification and Validation Plan and ensure the team adheres to the documented processes
  • Prepare and deliver Test Plans, FAT Plans, Verification and Validation Reports to stakeholders within the timeline stipulated by the Project Schedule
  • Drive the V&V Team towards the end goal of achieving SIL-0 Certification based on the criteria set out in the CENELEC-EN50128:2011 Standard

  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer or Software Engineering or Information Technology
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a V&V roles

Skills & Experience:

  • Good logical reasoning and problem investigation / solving skills
  • Excellent planning and time management skills required for preparation of design V&V plans.
  • Experience leading a small team and the ability to overcome personality / cultural barriers.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrable aptitude for manual and automated testing of an integrated system.
  • Knowledge of software standards, particularly EN 50128 is highly regarded
