The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Mackay team.

Predominantly based at BHP mine sites, you will be the first point of contact for our company and the integral link for supporting globally renowned major accounts and valued customers. Your extensive knowledge of large mining hydraulic excavators will enable you to be successful in this customer facing role.

As a Brand Ambassador, you will enjoy being personally connected to promoting Hitachi's service and parts components to deliver Total Customer Satisfaction and ensuring a high degree of service and support is maintained.

Above all else, your personality and charismatic character will be what sets you apart from the rest when dealing with internal and external stakeholders to deliver customer success stories

About you - if you consider yourself to have the following, then we want to hear from you!

  • Safety Commitment - Proactive awareness and total commitment to Hitachi's number one priority - always exercising a high standard of precaution and duty of care to yourself and for others around you.
  • Trade Qualified - Minimum Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or related heavy diesel qualifications.
  • Technical Knowledge - Trusted to provide holistic technical advice on hydraulics and mechanical components for Hitachi's Large Mining Excavator range
  • Project Coordination - Committed to meeting deadlines through planning and execution of shutdowns, working collaboratively with the Service Department to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Leadership - Positively enabling the partnership by actively chasing improvement opportunities and timely resolution of queries.
  • Personable and Professional Communication Skills - Communication and self-organization will be your strength as you plan and prepare relevant documentation related to machine performance, customer products, workmanship, warranty and diagnostic information.
  • Experience - Previous BHP mine site experience and current BHP Inductions will be highly regarded.
