ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Establish & improve preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

2. Prioritize, plan and execute various projects relating to site Maintenance functions/departments.

3. Provides and implements engineering solutions to achieve the quality and production availability targets of the plant as it relates to production equipment.

4. Provide OJT and classroom training on, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics, PLC, CNC, robotics & vision systems.

5. Provide in depth analysis in conjunction with management to identify repeat, systemic, equipment availability, MTTR and MTBR related issues to find root cause and lead in providing permanent countermeasures to eliminate issues.

6. Proficient using Excel to manipulate and analyze data necessary to complete continuous improvement projects.

7. Basic use of O365 to create work instructions, training materials and presentations.

8. Provide analysis and assist in planning to keep equipment updated on OSHA, ANSI, & NEC code requirements.

9. May, at times, be needed to assist with emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.

10. The responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree with a focus in the mechanical or electrical field.

2. Demonstrated leadership skills and professionalism with team members, other departments, and management.

3. 5 years of experience required, preferably as a Maintenance engineer.

4. Must have a full understanding of OEE.

5. Special skills required in advanced PLC programming and networking on multiple platforms. Advanced troubleshooting on but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC, CNC/PMC, robotics & vision systems.

6. Effective communication skills in regards to training team members and presenting to management.

7. Due to Hitachi Astemo being a 24/7 operation, this position may require being called in for emergency support during off duty hours.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Required to use safety glasses and wear steel toe shoes or Arc Flash clothing while performing specific tasks or while in specific manufacturing areas. Works on equipment that involves hazardous environments requiring protective equipment that conforms to OSHA regulations and some physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, and noise.
