Description

As a Quality Control Technician, you will support the Machining and Fabrication departments to provide final inspections and tests on machined and fabricated parts. You will also work to support our operation and help Skilled Trades, Applications, Controls, and Mechanical Engineering teams to design, build, and deploy custom automated equipment and solutions.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Perform 2nd pass final inspection on machined details and fabrications to ensure parts are complete and accurate.
  • Understand print callouts and GD&T to determine if parts meet print specifications.
  • Clearly communicate quality issues and/or discrepancies with leads, machinists, and fabricators.
  • Work with machinists and fabricators to help with ion-process inspections and problem-solving to ensure quality parts are being produced.
  • Good time management and being able to prioritize work to ensure OTD is being met.
  • Use a variety of gages and electronic inspection equipment to measure critical features, including but not limited to:
    • Thread gages, Pin gages, Block gages, Bore gages, Depth and height gages, Weld gages, and Bridge cam gages
    • Calipers, Micrometers, bore micrometers, and Dial indicator
    • Go / No go gages
    • 1/2/3 & 2/4/6 blocks
    • Surface roughness measurement
    • Scale
    • Tape measure
    • Combination square and Framing square
    • Laser level

    What You’ll Bring: 

    • High School diploma or equivalent, trade school certificate or college degree preferred.
    • 2 years of manufacturing experience. Background in machining and fabrication processes preferred.
    • Attention to detail to ensure all critical features meet print specifications for fit, form, and function.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
