Friction Engineer (m/f/d)

Key Accountabilities & Activities

Communication

Technical interface to friction supplier, customer and other parties involved in the organization (project team, purchasing…)

Coordination

Manage a mechanical product solution in an application project (or acquisition) on spec, on time and on cost
Technical project coordination with friction supplier

Execution

Creation of friction Product Specification and Technical Customer Document
Creation of friction DVP, realized by friction supplier to insure customer specifications followed with technical reports
Process Data Sheet follow-up and signature at friction supplier
Coordination of friction parts, technical definition, determination for internal need and external (customer)

Your Profile

Key Professional Competencies

Brake and product overview
Friction expertise
Project Management ability
Good overview of the Validation cycle with a strong knowledge of testing and validation process, benches and equipment
Willingness to understanding Vehicle brake tests
Ability to work in a multicultural environment
Willingness to travel
Fluent English level and German. Any other language is of advantage

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in friction industry is advantageous as well as having worked as friction interface
