About the Opportunity

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Field Service Technician / Mechanic to work in a Resident role based in the Central West Territory. This is a newly created position due to increased demand and an ever-expanding customer base in the region. A position in which you can work autonomously and make it your own but with the full support of our Sydney branch and our wider company branch network.

We welcome applications from established Mechanics who have had field experience within the heavy machinery industry; prior experience with Hitachi equipment will be highly regarded but not essential.

About the Role

  • Provide quality customer outcomes through diagnostic, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of Construction and Mining equipment
  • Conduct all repairs and maintenance jobs in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork
  • Manage consignment stock allocated to the region for parts and service support.
  • Ensure compliance with company's Environmental Policy, quality standards, and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
  • Build and maintain excellent rapport with our customer base in the region.

  • Qualifications - Minimum Certificate III in a Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • Experience & Skillset - Heavy Diesel mechanics and field service fitters with OEM equipment experience
  • Customer Focus - Initiative to plan work fronts efficiently and effectively, understanding customer needs and delivering quality outcomes to ensure Total Customer Satisfaction
