Hitachi Vantara is looking for a self-driven Hardware and Software Test Engineering Manager who will own and execute the integration of our Data Protection and Infrastructure Software Portfolios to create impactful solutions for our customers. By working closely with Product Management, Technology Partners, Professional Services, Marketing, and Engineering the Hardware and Software Test Engineering Manager will lead a group of diverse SMEs who will be responsible for the acceptance testing, solution design, and customer adoption of our Data Protection and Infrastructure software offerings. Besides working on the validation of enterprise-class software integration across our products and our Technology Partners' solutions, this leader will be responsible and accountable for the diversification, optimal structure, and growth of the entire team composed of at least 5 SMEs in the US and India.

What You Will Be Doing
• Managing a team of test and infrastructure engineers of 5+ employees.
• You'll be leading a testing team responsible for the overall validation of Infrastructure Management Software, Software Define Storage, File/Content Storage, and lab inventory support.
• You'll be responsible for assigning work to the team, reviewing member work for accuracy and quality, providing support and advice for ongoing projects, providing updates on current work, and managing team reviews and development.
• You will be providing technical data on existing products, supporting product quality, collaborating with Product Management, Product Marketing, Global Services, Education, and Global Support on pre and post GA products as well as addressing customer concerns, as well as improving existing product documentation.

What You Bring To The Team (Qualifications)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, master's degree in business is preferred.
• 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in Infrastructure products: Servers, Storage, Networking.
• 5+ years of management or leadership experience
• Experience coordinating multiple teams within large organizations
• Must be able to independently manage time and project execution needs which may span multiple sites and countries simultaneously
• Ability to work with a small cross functional team, as well as team members from other areas of the organization including those in other nations
• Computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, timeline projection, and databases (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point, Project, and Access)
• Ability to adapt to rapid changes and new systems as needed
• Manage group progress reviews and development planning in line with innovation goals
• Able to travel up to 10-25%, including international travel
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

The expected salary for this position in our Colorado office is $XX,000 - $YY,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara's variable pay program, subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
