Work Style:  Hybrid (+50% Onsite)

POSITION SUMMARY

The STEM Program Coordinator II provides support and assistance in the identification, development and delivery of educational programs or initiatives. This role will provide instructional support and collaborative coaching to regional leads and teachers as they work to implement the Inspire STEM Educational Outreach Program (EOP). As an advisor and collaborator to teachers, the Program Coordinator II is responsible for providing support in the designing of STEM units and lessons, providing content knowledge in STEM, analyzing data to modify activities and forms of assessment, and sharing of best practices. The STEM Program Coordinator II’s ultimate job is to work with instructional teams to create effective STEM learning experiences for students.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Coordinator I and the Program Specialist on various projects
  • Provide technical training and support for remote access in the STEM lab
  • Collaborate with teachers and provide strategies for program delivery
  • Serve as a resource in identifying appropriate program activities
  • Support teachers by providing feedback on lessons and assessments
  • Provide professional development and materials to support teachers.
  • Serve as a coach and consultant to teachers by providing expert advice on improving and enhancing individual lessons and units based on ongoing analysis.
  • Reviewing lesson activities, unit plans and assessments
  • Conducting demonstrations and modeling lessons for classroom teachers
  • Provide professional development and ability to turnkey train staff as needed.
  • Implement and support DEI initiative and integration

EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's degree minimum in fields such as education and/or educational programming or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in fields such as education and or/educational programing or related field.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years’ experience in education and/or educational programming.
  • Experience with STEM related activities and the integration of the CCSS
  • Strong technical capabilities
  • Experience with virtual learning and learning lab development
  • Experience in analyzing data and using results to modify lesson plans
  • Experience in professional development
  • Ability to plan, model, coach and provide feedback to individual teachers and teams of teachers to improve teaching and learning.
  • Experience implementing effective instructional practices, designing engaging lessons, using data and formative assessment in the classroom

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to successfully demonstrate an electron microscope and perform EDS analysis on a variety of samples

  • Must always have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to effectively communicate (read, write, and speak) in English is required
  • Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to provide industry bid quotes
  • Ability to answer general local and state government-based questions as they relate to the STEM-EOP
