About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Regional Manager and working closely with our National WHS Manager, we are looking for a WHS Advisor to provide support for our Newcastle, Muswellbrook and Gunnedah branches. Scope exists for flexibility with regard to which branch you choose to base yourself, but you will be required to spend time in each location in accordance with business needs.
You will work closely with the branches to ensure strong levels of safety performance are maintained and improved. You will support branch operations and the National WHS team to identify and implement safety improvements and positive change. You will monitor and maintain HCA's work health and safety management system. You will coordinate training sessions and safety related programs for management and staff. You have a proven ability to conduct workplace inspections and safety intercations, manage accident / incident investigations, and manage workers compensation claims.
An important component of the role will be to identify safety improvements, drive change, encourage employee commitment and enhance the business cultural safety journey.
