Description

The Production Control position processes engineering releases from the engineering department into the ERP system. This position is also responsible for part management and other part supporting data in the ERP system. This position will also monitor the processing of the released parts into the ERP system and add/change/modify as change releases are requested, and concerns are brought up from the Supply Chain
group.

What You'll Do:

Monitor the configuration of the projects in the ERP system and assist Project Managers as needed if there are issues with the automated project creation procedure
Review and/or finalize configuration and approve Part Masters for assemblies and parts that have been pushed into Epicor by engineering on an as needed basis
Validate and attach Parts/Assemblies to Project Jobs per direction from engineering by monitoring the Release Queue
Using Planning Workbench, spawn necessary Manufacturing Jobs to fulfill demand for parent assemblies and children parts/subassemblies
Establish due dates, Schedule and release Manufacturing Jobs for Assemblies and Subassemblies
Manage ongoing changes to Project BOMs in Epicor throughout the life of the project and modify existing Manufacturing Jobs or create, schedule and release new Manufacturing Jobs as needed
Provide daily monitoring and input to the scheduling process and take other corrective actions as warranted to maximize on-time delivery of parts, assemblies and ultimately, projects

Other Responsibilities:

Be a key go-to resource on how to execute and correct day-to-day problem that arise while executing in the Epicor environment
Interface with all operations departments to drive adherence to schedule with a primary focus on hitting our ready-for-assembly dates for each section of a machine.
This will include active participation in periodic team meetings on key projects

What You'll Bring:

At least 2-years’ experience in a manufacturing business setting
Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor experience is a plus)
Attention to detail
Communication skills
Able to work with computers
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Visio and Word preferred)
