About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Muswellbrook branch in the position of Workshop Supervisor. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organising and supervising the service workshop operations ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently and to the relevant standards while ensuring that department budgets and KPI's are met. You will also be responsible for recruiting, mentoring and coaching our electrical and mechanical apprentices and coordinating their training schedules throughout their apprenticeship.

As a key member of the team your duties will include:

• Maintain work schedules to ensure efficient utilisation of equipment and resources
• Positively enable and motivate your team to work safely and efficiently
• Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve Total Customer Satisfaction in all areas of responsibility
• Coordinate apprentice training schedules and provide leadership and coaching for these employees throughout their apprenticeship
• Ensure HCA employees and contractors comply with all WHS responsibilities and that a safety first culture is a consistent behaviour within area of responsibility

About you - to be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Similar supervisory experience with the ability work independently with high level of attention to detail
• Proven ability to motivate your team to work safely, efficiently and cohesively
• Demonstrated safety focus with a strong understanding of WHS principles
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to coach and mentor employees
• Experience in the maintenance of earthmoving equipment (Hitachi equipment would be an advantage)
• Excellent time management with the ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities
• The ability to use initiative to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
