Description

HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated  Associate Signalling Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Accountabilities:

  • Support the Revenue Service Designation (RSD) Lead in the definition, organization, and execution of the commissioning activities relevant to a project.
  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets of Railway Operation system
  • Manipulate, analyze and interpret complex data sets relating to issue reports for event that occurs causing a failure
  • Use data analysis tools to define the actual problem related to a failure
  • Coordinate and write detailed reports about the meaning of issue reports and gathered data
  • Ability to perform work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to multi-task

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • C++ coding
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing data
  • Experience developing clearly written, concise reports on technical subject matter.
  • Able to manage large amounts of data
  • Initiative and ability to self-direct on assignments.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Strong problem-solving ability, critical thinking skills, creative/innovative thinking
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills and techniques

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
