Description

JR Automation is searching for an experienced Account Manager to support automotive customers in Michigan. The successful candidate will have five + years of experience in the automotive/machine tool industry and sales experience selling to an OEM or Tier 1 Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and generation of solutions exploiting JRA’s enabling core systems and technology (products)
  • General Process Knowledge in Stamping, Body in White, Press & Polymers, Paint / Dispense, Electric Vehicle battery assembly, Tire & Wheel, and General/Final Assembly
    • 5+ years of experience in the automotive/machine tool industry; sales experience selling to an OEM or Tier 1 Company is an asset
  • Develop long term Sales relationship process with strategic important customers to optimize value and achieve mutually beneficial goals
    • Position JRA as preferred Solutions consultant, Strategic contributor, and Trusted partner
    • Establish trust and build loyalty with our strategic customers
    • High level of interaction between customer and key AM between transactions
      • Proactive planning for the future, forward thinking, customer-centric approach that fosters more strategic and hands on relationships 
    • Develop and maintain relationship with (potential) customers.
    • Generate purchase orders to meet or exceed annual goal.
    • Maintain & submit appropriate records for forecasting, quote status & expenses.
    • Assist Applications Engineers as needed in developing solutions to the customer’s needs.
    • Continually contact prospective customers based on leads from business directories or other sources.
    • Support all aspects of sales and marketing for geographic territory

    Qualifications:

    • Five years prior industrial experience.
    • Possess a winning and creative approach to work when identifying customer solutions.
    • History of maintaining and submitting appropriate records for forecasting quote status and expenses.
    • Proven ability to continually contact prospective customers based on leads from business directories or other sources.
    • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time (primarily day travel). Remainder of time is home based.
