The Opportunity
With strong growth in our service operations, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Emerald team. In this role, your key focus will be to provide preventative and breakdown maintenance on a range of Hitachi Construction and Mining equipment on permanent site based role out of Blackwater. Working a 7:7 even time roster, this permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career with a global company.

Reporting to the Service Manager, main responsibilities include:

• Providing quality and timely customer outcomes through diagnostic, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of equipment
• Attending to site breakdowns and undertaking fault finding and diagnostic work
• Maintaining the important link between the customer and the company, ensuring a high level of technical product support
• Ensuring the HCA Safety Culture is embraced and displayed and driven from within

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
• Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) HD Fitter trade qualifications
• Have maintenance experience, knowledge and understanding of construction and mining equipment
• Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously on site
• Have good communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long term relationships
• Have great technical knowledge and diagnostic ability
• Previous maintenance experience on Hitachi equipment will be highly regarded
