The Opportunity

With strong growth in our WA region, our Perth branch has an exciting opportunity for a quality focused Boilermaker to join the team on a on a 7/7 roster.

This position is to join our Welshpool team then permanently move to our Forrestdale based workshop team by mid 2023.

As a key member of the team, your role will see you perform boiler making and welding repairs on a wide range of construction and mining equipment. You will also be responsible for:

  • Providing fabrication and repair tasks to a variety of construction and earthmoving equipment
  • Design and fabrication of local options for earthmoving equipment
  • Be able to interpret technical drawings
  • Perform diagnostic evaluation of components and relevant systems
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Gouging structural cracks and re-welding

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
  • Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking) trade qualifications
  • Have previous experience working with construction, agricultural or mining equipment
  • Be confined space trained and qualified
  • High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) are essential
