Job Description

As a Principal Data Engineer in our Data & Analytics Practice, you will be a lynchpin in delivering our client engagements.

You will lead client engagements from definition through the entire delivery process, collaborating with customers and colleagues to scope an engagement, define requirements, turn those requirements into a solution design & architecture, create a delivery plan, and manage a team in delivering a high-quality solution.

Hitachi Solutions practices hands-on leadership so you will be equally at home leading teams, together with being actively involved in delivering engagements

Qualifications

Requirements (as much as possible, not all is mandatory)

• Hands-on experience working at a high level in Data Engineering, Data Science, or a combination.
• Azure skills highly preferred, including provisioning, configuring, and developing solutions leveraging the Azure modern data platform tooling, inc. ADLS, ADF, Synapse, Azure DataBricks etc.
• An in-depth understanding of data modelling principles.
• Significant hands-on experience using MS SQL Server, Oracle, or a similar RDBMS platform.
• Distributed Data Processing of big data batch, or streaming pipelines.
• Construction of data science, and machine learning research & production pipelines.
• Familiarity with data analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau etc.)
• Strong analytical skills, and a problem-solving attitude.
• Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to effectively prioritize, and execute tasks.
