Description

He / She will

- be responsible for overall project management including scheduling, resource allocations and budget.;
- Work across several silos or areas of the business. 

- Approve or review the project(s) strategy with respect to engineering design, procurement, tender process(es), contract negotiations and awards, and commissioning. 
- Monitor construction and financial statements of the project through on-site managers. 

A Senior Manager (M4) typically manages a department or small unit that includes multiple teams led by Managers and/or Team Leaders. 
His / Her Responsibilities typically include 0wnership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the Department. 
Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis. 
Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.

Education, skills and experience

  • Degree in Engineering or Science

  • 10 + years experience in a project management role, and this having this experience in rail, systems and signalling is highly desirable;

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse cultural organization with multiple key stakeholders displaying highly polished interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Experience in effective resource management and working with a large multi-cultural team;

  • Strong working relationships with technology providers;

  • Experience in real-time system engineering; testing and integration activities, software verification and validation best practices and safety critical techniques.
