Meet our team:
Hitachi Vantara has a world class IT infrastructure product portfolio and our EMEA business is performing well. Our Customer Service and Support group (CS&S) are a regional team, with 30 members based across the UK&I. They are responsible for the support of our customers ranging from banks, telco, utility and public accounts, all with mission critical Hitachi solutions deployed.
The UK&I team is a close knit team of field support engineers that have fantastic relationships with our customers and their technical teams. Due to the retirement of a long serving and great team member we are looking to add another permanent team member.
The customer engineer performs a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
- Supporting product installations
- Deliver ongoing maintenance support services
- Support high priority incident resolution
- Ensure high standard of customer satisfaction at all times - both external and internal
- Working as part of the 24/7 on call shift rota for their allocated service area (region)
We require a broad technical understanding for you to be successful in this role. Training is provided on the Hitachi product portfolio but the basis of your experience will span:
- Block storage systems
- Storage Area Networks
- NAS solutions
- Server infrastructure
- Windows OS
- IP networking
