The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Branch Manager with strong leadership skills to join our dynamic team in Mackay. In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the business operations to best meet customer requirements and oversee the continued success of the branch and its people.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the divisional General Manager, the Branch Manager is responsible for the following critical objectives:

  • OPERATIONS – Act as the single point of contact for the Branch and the conduit between Sales and Operations. Support all aspects of Operations to align with Sales, and to lead the wider team to deliver the business plan and achieve budget profitably.
  • SAFETY – Create Safety Excellence by role modelling safety behaviours and ensuring these are understood by all.
  • PEOPLE & CULTURE – With HR, work to recruit, develop and retain the right people with a focus on future growth, knowledge and training.
  • STRATEGY – Deliver on strategic imperatives:
    • Win and retain key customer work.
    • Collaborate with Sales to manage customer supply agreements, tenders, RFQs/RFIs.
    • Deliver on Quality and Auditing through key systems.
    • Define and deliver KPIs around Reporting, Records, Compliance.
    • Single point of accountability across H-E Parts International divisions to align strategy and deliver customer outcomes.
    • Deliver efficiencies through improved capacity planning and scheduling.
    • Warehouse alignment – data driven efficiency reports/procurement history/parts and component forecasting through Asset management software.

About You

Our aim is to provide the best customer service through an empowered, talented, and responsive team. To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Management.
  • Previous experience in a similar managerial position, preferably in mining/manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of current OH&S legislation and best practice.
  • Computer literacy; knowledge of Pronto or equivalent ERP system would be advantageous.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills adaptable for various levels of employees.
