Summary:

Hitachi Industrial Equipment & Solutions America, LLC. (HIESA) is looking for a Technical Service Specialist. This position is responsible for fielding technical support questions from our sales channels in both North and South America. This position is also responsible for performing a variety of routine on Continuous Ink Jet Printer (CIJ), Laser and Vision systems Sample Lab functions, including but not limited to, sample product marking, daily maintenance of sample lab equipment including electronic Continuous Ink Jet Printers, Laser printers and vision systems, conveyors, test and measurement equipment and all sample lab accessories.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a technical support to our sales and service channels during the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of our Marking and Coding products.
• Assist our channel to enable communication between our hardware to external communication device.
• Evaluate warranty return from the field.
• Review and update technical bulletins and assist in performing in-house technical classes.
• Assisting distributors for technical installation and troubleshooting at end customer locations.
• Receive and record Sample Material from Warehouse Staff.
• Calculate Proper Continuous Ink Jet (CIJ)/Laser printer set-up for Individual Sample Request.
• Print Individual Samples in Required Inks.
• Record all Completed Samples
• Cycle count and report all Sample Ink and Solvent inventory levels
• Start-up and Shut Down all Continuous Ink Jet Printer Lab Equipment Daily

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of service experience in the industrial marking & coding industry
• Ability to speak and write in Spanish is a plus
• Strong Electro-Mechanical background/knowledge.
• Knowledge of MS Windows/MS Word & MS Excel
• Superior oral/written communication skills
• Knowledge of RS232/LAN Communication Protocols, multiple platforms, Machine to machine interface a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to strictly adhere to safety instructions and follow directions
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be detail orientated
