Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Maintenance Management Information System Manager to be entered who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Genoa, Italy

The Automation Value Added Service team currently consists of about 20 people divided between technical figures (Data Analysts, Designers and Software Engineers) and coordination / commissioning figures (WPL leaders) and follows the entire life cycle of the Intelligent Asset Management Product (design, development, commissioning, validation, release and post-release guarantee) with an average age low (about 34 years old). Hitachi is currently expanding the team with a new group focused on the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) to guarantee the complete delivery of this system in different new projects acquired in all parts of the world (North America Ontario), EMEA (Copenhagen), Far East (Philippines). We are looking for a team manager to:

  • Lead the new team focused in MMIS coordinating an internal group (including local work package leaders) and external suppliers, working on the whole life cycle from tenders to projects (design, delivery and management);
  • Coordinate the collaboration among different company units involved in the process (OS&M plus all the different technologies that will have to provide data to the MMIS)
  • Guide and coordinate MMIS product evolution and standardisation (unique roadmap among different project)

Job requirements

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • 10 years of working experience in a similar management and coordination role in a medium/complex multinational organization;
  • Excellent leadership and coordination attitude and team-working skills;
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • A high level of competence with Microsoft Office, excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills


Bachelor’s Degree in technical area or Equivalent
Technical background

English (level C1 certificate or more).
