What you'll be doing

Hitachi Vantara, an industry leader in data infrastructure technology and solutions, is looking for an Executive Writer and Storyteller to help shape narratives and bring technology to life through stories.

In this role, bridging business and technical subjects, you will work with subject matter experts (from developers to executives) from Hitachi Vantara, our partners, and customers to craft differentiating campaign messages and narratives, and identify engaging stories that resonate with audiences in the business technology space (incl. CIO, CDO, Director Cloud Ops, VP of Infrastructure, Application Leader).

You will leverage your technology and solutions expertise in cloud and data infrastructure and services, your stellar marketing and writing skills, and your digital content marketing skills. You will develop content hands-on, and work with agencies and the broader marketing organization to ideate and implement high-impact narratives and digital assets.

Key responsibilities:
  • Shape campaign messages that are differentiated, engaging, and thought-provoking.
  • Direct agency engagements with marketing and creative agencies for content creation.
  • Develop narratives, write opinion pieces, digital content, and executive keynote scripts.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to other staff.

What you bring to the team
  • 10+ years of experience in the B2B information technology (IT) space, incl. 3+ years in marketing.
  • Solid understanding of the B2B IT market space (cloud and data) incl. vendors, personas, customer and partner value props, and solution selling.
  • Outstanding copywriting and editing skills that align with brand voice/tone.
  • Familiarity with sales channel models, and developing messaging that resonates with partners and their end-users.
  • Experience managing editorial calendars and content review processes.
  • Experience creating content for a variety of digital mediums.
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven success operating and delivering on matrixed organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technology, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Background in technical sales, technology consulting, product marketing, or solution marketing.
  • Recognized authority on leading-edge technologies, theories, or techniques.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects or teams.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools (e.g., CMS, SEO, web analytics).

For Colorado only (as required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act): The expected salary for this position in our Colorado office is $150,000 - $165,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara's variable pay program, subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
