Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated IT Service Desk and End User Computing Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pistoia.

Accountabilities

  • Management of the external engineers of the Outsourcer
  • Provide to support the Business for the demand
  • Support the Infrastructure and Operation team
  • Follow the indication of the head of Infrastructure for the Vehicle BU
  • Apply to the infrastructure the IT standard of the Rail Group
  • Support the Cyber Security in the daily Operations
  • Support the End Users directly or by the Outsourcer team

Required Skills/Knowledge

Hard Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in supporting users in Microsoft client / server environments
  • Basic Knowledge of the main Microsoft on Premise server technologies (Share Point, SCCM, IIS, Active Directory, Certification Authority)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft SCCM (creating software distribution packages)
  • Advanced knowledge of the main Microsoft client applications (Outlook, MS Teams, MS Edge)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory management (account provisioning, group membership, policy management)
  • Basic knowledge of DNS and DHCP
  • Basic knowledge of network devices setup
  • Basic knowledge of video devices with Cisco technology
  • Medium Knowledge of MDM systems (Airwatch / Workspace ONE, Mobileiron)
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of ticketing systems (Remedy, Service Now, others ..)
  • Basic knowledge of VPN and Proxy
  • Advanced Troubleshooting capability

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Autonomy in taking charge and delivery of macro and micro activities (simple administrative tasks and projects)
  • Availability for business trips and extra hours
  • Excellent knowledge of English language (at least B1)

Education/Qualifications

Preferible  IT Engineering Degree or IT equivalent technical background.

Languages
 

Fluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken) at least level C1.
