The Opportunity

The Customer support Specialist is responsible for providing support to the company's internal and external customers via Fleet Management Systems such as Hitachi ConSite and Bell Fleetmatic.

Key tasks for this role include:

  • Analyze, interpret and act on the data from the various fleet systems
  • Review alarm reports and follow-up relevant branch / customer as required.
  • Develop and implement strategies using the telematics tools available to provide insights into customers machines and the applicable servicing / maintenance requirements in order to maximise parts and service sales
  • Provide administration support for all relevant OEM Fleet Management Systems. This includes, but is not limited to managing subscriptions; adding, deleting and changing users and/or customers; maintaining user records; and retrieving and resetting user passwords.
  • Promote a professional fleet system help desk and sell the value of the fleet systems internally
  • Manage the expectations of your customers and ensure they are always well informed.
  • Train internal and external customers on how to use the relevant OEM Fleet Management System as required

The ideal person for this role will:

  • Be very organised, with good admin skills, especially data mining abilities coupled with strong excel skills
  • Have a system orientated brain that picks up new technology and quickly owns it
  • Be able to resolve technical faults or problems of Heavy construction equipment, particularly for Hitachi machines
  • Actively builds rapport in a wide range of relationships and adjusts approach to best connect with the audience or individual concerned
  • Understand the importance of maintaining good customer relations
  • Have a professional manner when dealing with and responding to requests, complaints, problems
  • Be able to expresses and conveys information effectively to other people
