Job Purpose

Manage the NVH team (Coordination, Laboratory and Bench) and lead NVH development and validation activities for all BRBU products (Brakes and electrical actuators).

Lead and animate communication with all Customer lines and R&D Engineering

Define and execute NVH development and solving process.

Support the organization at global level for NVH topics

Key Accountabilities & Key Activities

Team Management:

Foster a climate of teamwork and motivation within the team by encouraging entrepreneurship mind-set, professional development and growth of employees (assessment, training, coaching and mentoring).

Ensure a high level and dynamic skill of team spirit to motivate collaborator

Ensure appropriate health and Safety work environment for the team

Guide test technician / engineer in smooth and correct test execution.

Insure deployment, respect and application of all quality standard in the team (IATF, HSE, 5S…).

NVH Support:

The team must support CLO and PF Engineering team for noise problem understanding by leading the process using experimental investigation and physical modelling to provide design guidelines for noise problem solving. This activity is manage with strong interaction with all stakeholder (Simulation, Project, Engineering)

NVH Development:

The team must continuously developed and improved NVH process by:

  • Optimizing current process
  • Development of new measurement technics, methods, know how on physical phenomena.
  • Develop a strong network within Astemo and with University to maintain the technical BRBU advance.
  • Contribute to the development of bench and tools needed to answer to current or new requirements.

Key Professional Competencies

Strong Technical background (NVH and mechanics)

Solid technical and theory knowledge on NVH, Friction and / or Brakes

Familiar with testing process & environment

Ability to work in a multicultural environment

Communication and writing capacity for technical documentations

Fluent English level

Qualification & Experience          

Engineer Graduated or PhD in Vibration domain and additional in acoustic domain

5 to 10 Years of experience in automotive or aircraft industry

Management of team in R&D Laboratory or Testing from at least 5 years

Technical Knowledge: Knows different technical method from measurement (Time and Frequency domains)

Has an experience to manage NVH benches (Inertia and Chassis dyno)
