Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Junior Simulation Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pistoia - IT

Accountabilities

  • Knowledge on the use of multibody simulation using Simpack software;
  • Knowledge on railway dynamic and EN14363 standard.
  • Collaborate with the sub-project groups (internal and external) and ensure the development of the assigned project part;
  • Be the referent for internal and / or external resources involved in the simulation project team.
  • Knowledge of FEM analysis.
  • Ability on the use of the design requirement management with DOORS;
  • Ability on the use of PLM software;

Required Skills/ Knowledge

  • Experience to perform the tasks as described in section above
  • Master degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering;
  • II level University Master Degree in Railway Sector
  • Minimum 1 year working in railway vehicles projects in an engineering role
  • Availability for short domestic and overseas trips.

Desired Skills/ Knowledge

  • Knowledge on EN14363
  • Knowledge on TSI Loc§Pas
  • Knowledge of Simpack, PLM and DOORS software
  • Analytic approach

Education / Qualifications
 

Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

II level University Master Degree in Railways sector


Languages

Knowledge of written and spoken English at least B2 level
