What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Head of Customer Success, the Renewals Account Manager position is a quota-carrying sales role where you will manage and grow an exciting portfolio of accounts with a strong focus on the French and UK markets but may also have the opportunity to look after a few other EMEA accounts.

Your focus will be on renewing and growing the current product portfolio of your customers, eliminating customer churn, increasing usage rates, introducing new products/features, and building long-lasting client relationships. You will be supported by a team of Technical Account Managers to help you achieve your goals.
  • Negotiate and lead the upcoming software renewals
  • Identify and nurture potential expansion opportunities and work collaboratively with the Sales Team
  • Be the trusted advisor for the customer on use-case and product functionality
  • Monitor product adoption and usage and partner with clients to expand these
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap of how Hitachi Vantara/ Pentaho software solution fit into long-term strategies of clients
  • Assist in building internal and extern organizational alignment
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to translate customer business/technical challenges into business solutions

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the contract renewal process and identify and nurture expansion opportunities

Account Management
  • Conduct periodic touchpoints to measure customer satisfaction and product utilization levels
  • Anticipate future customer needs and proactively address them with resources
  • Channel customer issues and queries for faster resolution

Collaboration with Internal Departments
  • Work closely with various teams across the organization
  • Share customer feedback for product development and innovation

What you bring to the team
  • Excellent English & French communication skills, both oral & written
  • Ability to build relationships with multiple executive internal and client stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate technical details, both internally and with the customer
  • Ability to manage and influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building
  • Degree or equivalent education or work experience

Account Management
  • Customer-first mindset
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts, including high-level customer escalation management
  • Ability to proactively anticipate future customer actions and deploy resources to meet those needs
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Services)

Industry Experience & Knowledge
  • Previous experience in customer relations, consulting, sales support, or account management, ideally in the SaaS industry
  • Familiarity with technical trends and industry vertical applications
  • Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models
