Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Automation Product Line Engineer​  who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples, Italy.

Accountabilities

We are looking for a Senior Automation Product Line Engineer who:

  • Ensure the application of V&V process for Automation 2.0 product and compliance of this process to V&V plans and SQAP of the impacted projects

  • Update of V&V plan and activities for future evolution of Automation 2.0 that potentially requires to achieve an higher SIL

  • Review of Automation 2.0 product requirements, performing gap analysis with projects requirements

  • Definition of test specifications and test plans according to product requirements and roadmap

  • Plan and execute validation activities (including testing and reporting) on Automation 2.0 components

  • Support integration testing of project teams

  • Assure the compliance of V&V plan and performed activities to norms and rules, even managing requests from projects and from assessors

 

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • From 5 up to 10 years  of working experience

  • V&V life cycle management (requirements management, interface management, test specification definition and execution)

  • Quality and CENELEC Standards

  • Railway, metro, signaling and automation systems knowledge

  • Automation 2.0 Core Components & Integrated Functions

Education

  • University Degree in Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent technical/scientific background

Language

  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
