Job Summary:

The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a global and very dynamic team of dedicated professionals. The candidate will be part of application development team focused on customer requirements and satisfaction. The candidate will be part of hardware design engineering team. The team has product responsibility and works with internal cross functional teams, and with the customer engineering team. This position is important both internally and to our customer. Any achievement will be acknowledged and recognized by both parties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible from taking the new design from RFI and RFQ to end of production
  • Works with components vendors to select new components and negotiate pricing for new business quoting
  • Provides alternative design concepts, cost saving and design optimization starting from RFQ stage
  • Generating and presenting technical presentation to customer during RFQ stage
  • Working with managements and sells to provide development costs, components cost, spending curves and all necessary documents that are required for quoting new business
  • Coordinating with software group, safety group, R&D and mechanical group to insure complete design aspects during and after RFQ stage
  • Working with customer and vendors to provide and finalize requirements and design reviews for new ASICs
  • Determine the various EE tasks required for each product development project and distribute those tasks among the members of a small team of engineers.
  • Track the task execution and teamwork contributions of each team member to aid management in performing regular performance assessments.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team as well as cross-discipline engineers to support the various product families.
  • Derive component specifications from system-level specifications.
  • Develop test specifications and test plans from component-level specifications.
  • Design, schematic capture, layout, and test of electrical circuits, printed circuit boards, and cabling/interconnects.
  • Design and perform experiments to test design and validate prototype concepts.
  • As part of the design process, document calculations, diagrams and create technical reports of work completed.
  • Maintain lifelong learning and continually develop knowledge in the electronics/electrical field.
  • Maintain existing legacy products concerning manufacturability and obsolescence issues.

Position Requirements

  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft suite skills including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of the cross-functional teams.
  • Strong sense of urgency and personal commitment.
  • Possess excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
  • Highly motivated and disciplined in time management.
  • Design knowledge of high-speed digital & analog electronic components and circuits.
  • Capability to use lab tools, equipment, and techniques to verify circuit operation.
  • Perform analysis of ASIC analog/digital circuit.
  • Perform worst case analysis and calculation with Mathcad
  • Knowledge in digital and analog circuit design and analysis.
  • Knowledge in circuit board layout, circuit simulation.

Education:      Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

Experience:     Have 5-7 years applicable experience in mechanical engineering and design with a bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of experience with a master’s degree.

Job level determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.

Working conditions:

Physical Demands:  Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Travel: Domestic and international may be required as needed.
