Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated PRODUCT AND PROCESS VEHICLES QUALITY ASSURANCE who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples, Pistoia or Reggio Calabria, Italy.

Accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

Business Management

• Support planning and implementation of QMS improvement initiatives, (ochibo hiroi, quality first, etc), focusing on creation and implementation of action for quality assurance in product development and production
• Support the definition and the monitoring of continuous improvement activities in sense of ISO 9001.
• Support the implementation of the Quality standards, processes, guidelines, etc.
• Support the required inputs for improving the performance and effectiveness of the QMS, as well as the related monitoring and reporting.

Business Execution Product Quality Assurance

• Support corrective Quality actions and conduct root-cause analysis, if necessary.
• Trigger and monitor implementation of defined recovery actions and improvements.
• Ensure proposal “containment” (corrective action) Quality actions to Operations in alignment with all relevant quality departments
• Ensure the identification and the implementation of solutions for optimizing operations processes (with reference to quality issues) guaranteeing quality costs
• Evaluate feedback from clients as well as internal notifications related to Product Safety issues and propose corrective actions
• Ensure the “Safety and Product incidents” escalated to the Corporate Quality Assurance Division are constantly monitored until closure.

Key shared accountabilities

• Support Quality Reporting in the definition, implementation and monitoring of Quality KPIs in collaboration with the related Process Owners.
• Support the identification and monitoring of indicators to measure the performance of products/ after-sale services in coordination with Service & Maintenance (S&M).
• Support system audits, follow up and close system/process Non Conformities.
• Provide expertise support in the analysis and resolution of incidents/ inconveniencies/ issues due to suppliers.
• Monitor correct implementation of suppliers' Sw Quality documentation related to incident/issue.
• Verify closure of suppliers’ non-conformities (including documentation) related to incident/issue.

Required Skills/ Knowledge:

• 3-5 Years of experience on the vehicles products and company processes;
• Knowledge of design and manufacturing process;
• Knowledge of quality assurance & control processes

Education / Qualifications:
 

Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background.

Languages:

Good English proficiency (written and spoken)
