Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated FP&A Italy who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples - Italy.

Accountabilities 

Partner with the business in order to understand the drivers of efficiency for all non-project costs in the company. 

  • contribute to the daily operations of analysis and reporting envisaged; in particular, he/she will have to guarantee the performance, quality and compliance with the timing of accounting closures/rolling/forecasts, both in the processing of results and in the implementation of legacy reporting systems (Hyperion)
  • contribute to providing specific periodic and “ad hoc” analyzes relating to the economic, financial and equity trends of the Legal Entity using legacy tools (Hyperion, Sap)
  • contribute to monitoring, analyzing and achieving the specific targets assigned to the LE, always in economic and financial terms as well as at the level of equity
  • contribute to the definition and drafting of the long-term planning tools of the LE profile and to the feeding and operational use of the same
  • support the other company functions in the analysis of trends aimed  to achieve the assigned objectives
  • contribute to the improvement of the reporting system and its operations

    Essential Requirements

    •          From 5 years of experience
    •          Knowledge SAP( BW/ SAP S4H /BPC) and Hyperion tools
    •          Skills in process / project management 
    •          Analytical accounting expertise
    •          Knowledge of accounting methodologies
    •          Knowledge in Project Cost Control 
    •          Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills,DBMS (SQL) , Access, Power tools of Business Intelligence
    •          Highly numerical, analytical whilst focused on owning the detail, maintaining an appreciation of the bigger picture.
    •          Experience owning cost centres in a matrix environment from a finance perspective and able to act as a trusted peer and partner to “Heads of departments” to manage budgeting and spend

    Desirable Requirements

    •          Previous experience in a global environment
    •          IFRS15 or experience with long-term accounting principles
    •          Previous experience gained in a global corporate in the manufacturing or other long-term project based industries (Infrastructure, Construction, Mining etc).
    •          Experience in recharge cost absorption environments

     Education / Qualifications
     

    Bachelors of Economics/Business Administration or like degree

    Languages

    Fluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken)
