Summary of the position:

 The S&OP Analyst for Inventory Optimization, located in Michigan City, Indiana, will have end-to-end responsibility for inventory optimization, global standardization/governance, and analysis to support the global factories and new product introduction process. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Coordinates Synchronizing EBOM/MBOM Effectivity Dates (ECO) with Engineering /Procurement to Maximize Inventory Transition linked with Manufacturing Readiness
  • Validates Phase In planning and execution of inventory for New Product Introduction and Phase out plan of discontinued product(s), to minimize Excess and Obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborates with Procurement Team in Defining Supply Chain /Supplier Liabilities Linked with PIPO and Driving Data Centric Decisions into Program Management on Cost Implications with Market Introductions
  • Defines the appropriate SAP master data for finished goods and component materials to support business objectives and strategy (EOQ, MOQ, Safety Stock, ROP, Finished Goods Targets, etc.)
  • Utilizes provided software and/or develops, manages, selects use of appropriate algorithms based on business strategy, market conditions, and warehouse constraints
  • Analyzes (KPIs) on-time deliveries, fill rates, inventory turns, days of supply, stock outs, and recommends Supply Chain Actions required to improve Inventory Performance
  • Uses reports, applications, and programs to monitor and maintain stocking levels, dispositions of excess, obsolete, and inactive inventory, and recommends disposal inventory through established procedures and policies, and minimize inventory write-offs.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Professional experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with scheduling, inventory control or operations responsibility

Key Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning, Work Order Management and Production Control within an ERP-driven environment.  SAP experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the desire and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Organized and efficient; able to prioritize in a demanding environment and handle a heavy workload
