Job Purpose
The Customer Education Business Development Manager (CEBDM) will work with customers, partners and Account Team(s) to develop and deliver comprehensive, customized education solutions that enable successful implementation, adoption, and usage of Hitachi Vantara solutions. This includes understanding the customer's business objectives and critical business issues and creating comprehensive training readiness solutions to support the customer's proprietary business processes.
ResponsibilitiesAs the single point of contact for Hitachi Vantara Education Services in their respective region(s), the CEBDM responsibilities have significant range across the entire customer lifecycle and organizations within Hitachi Vantara. This position is responsible for managing business through forecasting, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the Education offerings for Customers, Partners and Employees. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of an education value proposition. Scope and negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key sales influencers.
Creating Adoption• Participate in sales campaigns to showcase Global Learning Education Services portfolio and methodologies
• Develop and maintain partnership with sales and services organization
• Accountable for manage scope, level of effort, costs and organize the delivery
• Develop strategic learning paths to leverage the customer experience
• Provide technical and collateral support for proposals in sales campaigns
• Manage and promote external and internal training attendance
• Identify needs from the field to improve training development process
Customer Experience• Work with the sales organization in the Customer life cycle creating Customer adoption, supporting the expansion of the solutions and renewing contracts
• Accountable for the quality of trainings in his/her region
• Communicate the Education Services offerings for the Hitachi Vantara community - Customer, Partners and Employees
• Create Customer Adoption/Enablement, Expand and Renew
Business Management (P&L)• Make recommendations to improve Global Learning Education Services capabilities and revenue generation
• Create new local Education Services Offerings and campaigns to reach the financial results
• Develop, manage, and report on metrics pertinent to the region on a regularly scheduled basis
• Provide revenue forecasting
Performance Measures• Achieves assigned regional revenue, margin and consumption targets
• Revenue forecasting accuracy for the region
• Achieves strategic customer satisfaction objectives defined by Hitachi management
• Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frames
• Measured against on-time and on-budget delivery metrics
Qualifications • 3+ years of B2B selling experience in a similar or adjacent industry
• Experience owning the full sales cycle (prospecting, validating, negotiating, and closing the sale).
• Highly motivated with a "hunter spirit" to develop new opportunities and grow business
• Demonstrate strong sales achievement (i.e., consistent achievement at or above quota, or a history YoY growth in your target market)
• Passionate about sales and building positive relationships
• Possess strong business acumen and can articulate the value of a solution to address customers' current and future needs
• Engage in active listening to identify customers' pain and help them derive the value and potential impact of a timely solution
• Intellectually curious and capable of quickly learning new solutions, technologies and understanding value delivered to various buyers
• Proven networking skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility and create confidence with partners, customers and colleagues
• Demonstrate strong presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a cross matrixed organization influencing non reporting teams to achieve outcomes.
• Proven ability to exercise good judgment and make sound business decisions with sparse data
• Demonstrated ability to gain consensus in a diverse environment
• Exercise strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate an ability to work in unstructured environments and situations providing self-direction and self-motivation
• Demonstrated ability to interact with customers at all levels
• Demonstrated ability of working with sales teams to accomplish goals of developing, promoting, and selling education services
• Must have a proven track record of revenue attainment
Fluent German & English are a must for this position
