Description

HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Sales Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Accountabilities:

• Ensure the implementation of the company commercial strategy

• Ensure the definition of the guidelines for the Bid Preparation strategy in terms of Strategic goals

• Ensure – in collaboration with qualification and proposal units – the execution of all bidding/qualification activities up to the delegated authority

• Ensure the acquisition and reporting of relevant market information in order to optimize the sales activities for the assigned customers

• Ensure the definition and maintenance of a data base with key sales relevant data information for the assigned customers

• Ensure the implementation of the bidding AIDA data

Required Skills/ Knowledge:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development or Bidding position, or a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
  • Experience in business operations and/or commercial activities, such as negotiation and contracting skills in a B2B context.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to learn technical matter.
  • Planning and Organizational skills to plan and execute a customer account strategy.

Desired Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Prior experience working in the railroad industry (preferred)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Technical

Background

Languages: English Proficiency
