Job Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Product Compliance Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples/Tito Scalo (PZ), Italy.

Accountabilities

We are looking for a Senior Product Compliance Specialist who:

  • Prepare the dossiers related to fire smoke regulations (EN45545/NFPA130);
  • Be in charge of the Compliance Analysis in accordance with the regulations that control hazardous substances in electrical/electronic equipment (ROHS, REACH, POPs);
  • Draft safety dossiers with respect to EC directives applicable to electrical/electronic product (EMC, LVD, RED);
  • Prepare dossiers relating to the regulation for the control of exports, brokering, technical assistance, transit and transfer of dual-use items (Regulation EU 2021/821); 
  • Carry out and update Ecodesign and LCA studies  (ISO14064 and ISO14067) to evaluate the environmental impact of products in order to foster an environmental enhancement's virtuous internal process;
  • Develop innovative methodologies to be applied as standards in the design process of products and solutions;

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • 3 years of working experience in activities related to at least one of the areas indicated in the main accountabilities;
  • Experience with management and understanding of info related to electrical/electronic/mechanical components;
  • Able to work autonomously and be proactive in the management of the tasks
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Willing to work in an international team and environment;
  • Willing to travel and go on business trips both on national and international territory;
  • Excellent communication skills;

Education

  • University Degree in Industrial Engineering (preferable), Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or equivalent technical/scientific background;

Languages
English (level B2 certificate or more)
