Strategic Sourcing Manager (m/f/d)

Value Integration Group

The Value Integration Group is an European procurement headquarter, integrated into global corporate procurement. In this role it aims to work collaborative with all Hitachi business groups to identify cross-group synergies and take a lead in selected business areas, such as sustainability. Working in this corporate function offer a great span of opportunities and requires agility and flexibility.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible to facilitate complete sourcing activities for different categories in the area of Indirect Materials, Sustainability Investments, selected Direct Materials and IT

• Market research for specific categories and important topics identified

• Work out sourcing strategies

• Lead functional teams across business units

• Build Supplier relationships to provide value add to Hitachi

• Identify growth opportunities together with third parties for Hitachi’s business groups. This can be in the area of services or products to support multiple units. This can be regional or global. Candidate is expected to take a proactive role.

• Work closely with other regional headquarters including corporate headquarters in Tokyo

• Support Value Integration Group initiatives in the area of sustainability

Your profile

• Appropriate apprenticeship in industrial environment with at least 5 years of experience or University/applied science degree with experience in subject matters

• Proven expertise in procurement and sourcing activities

• Maturity and willingness to act efficiently in a complex corporate and multi-international organization

• Excellent English skills and good international communication skills and experience

• Solid knowledge of technological and commercial applications and solutions

• Legal understanding of corporate requirements and base contractual practies managing third parties, suppliers and/or customers

• Digital skills and ambition to drive new tools and efficiencies, apart from solid knowledge of common office applications
