Sales Planning Internship

Description

Job Summary: The sales planning intern will work with the Sales Planning team in developing methods to improve the user experience for HiSMART (Salesforce), enhance the production tooling order management processes, and support development of the sales onboarding process.

Expected Outcomes:  

The intern will:

Enhance the existing HiSMART (Salesforce) training material to:

• Describe typical use cases for new business pursuit management and profit/cost recovery processes
• Supplement existing Powerpoint training materials and improve the definition of term

Develop enhancement to existing production tooling order management:

• Establish a customer tool asset management knowledge database
• Create list of expected customer deliverables required before invoicing
• Propose methods to support ongoing follow-up of tool order item reconciliation tasks

Introduce a Sales onboarding plan:

• Establish a method to store and permit easy access to the onboarding training materials
• Enhance existing training materials

Acquire skills in business system solutions that support the sales organization.

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Working toward completion of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar degree and completed first year of coursework
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Strong interest in sales or business planning, finance or accounting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work independently while provided proper direction
• Must have experience with MS Office tools, especially EXCEL
