About The Opportunity

We have opened up an exciting opportunity for a National WHS & Quality Manager to be based in our Corporate head office in Parramatta to support our National operations. This key role will be reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with our team of WHS advisors and our Quality team. This role will be accountable to develop and maintain Company Certification for Health and Safety Management systems and Quality systems standards. You will also be responsible to drive our safety culture via regular communications, training and empowering our staff. Your other duties will also include:

  • Ensuring adherence to WHS regulatory and legislative requirements via an auditable compliance system
  • Aligning WHS and Quality priorities and resources to business strategy
  • Ensuring management of systems and improvement plans in accordance with ISO45001 and ISO9001 standards
  • Role modelling our leadership behaviors and driving a strong culture across WHS and Quality
  • Monitor and drive compliance with Safety and Quality systems to ensure that all hazards, non-conformance, incidents and injuries/illnesses are reported, investigated and controlled, and response programs are in place
  • Reporting and analysing Health Safety and Quality targets/objectives, as well as continually identifying and implementing improvements and reporting on overall performance at a senior leadership level
  • Develop and deploy internal high-risk WHS and quality compliance programs ensuring effective risk management across operations
  • Ensure effective Injury management and return-to-work processes are implemented across the business
  • Identify WHS and Quality training requirements and develop and deliver this training promptly.

About You -

  • Strong Safety Commitment - Proactive awareness of your safety and others around you
  • Previous WHS & Quality Experience - ideally having worked in a Senior WHS and Quality role within a multisite environment from Mining, Trades, Manufacturing, Warehousing or other high risk Industries will be preferred
  • Demonstrable experience in executing HSE strategy in a large high risk organisation
  • Demonstrable leadership and influencing capabilities at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience and demonstrated ability in communication, presentation, report writing, investigation and audit skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS with experience of Quality Management Systems. Ideally Diploma or higher in WHS. Cert IV in Training and Assessment and experience with Injury Management and Return to Work Coordination.
  • Strong Technical Knowledge - Trusted to provide holistic technical advice on relevant legislation and able to professionally deliver training sessions and toolbox talks
