Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Asset Security Lead Americas who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Accountabilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for the physical security operations for the Assets located in the
Americas area and will manage and provide support for the security system activities present within all sites,
managing suppliers and external contractors to the Company, ensuring the timely implementation of corrective
action plans in the event of security incidents and breaches. The successful candidate will carry out the daily
surveillance activities and will support the Department of Physical Security in the planning and implementation
of specific projects. They will be responsible for managing security events/criticalities (such as security system
failures, alarms, incidents etc.), ensuring punctual and rapid communication/escalation of information to
management, and collaborating with the other members of the Physical Security function.
The selected candidate will be able to support the Physical Security Department for all the security activities
carried out at the Hitachi Rail Project Sites/Worksites/facilities in the Americas.
The selected candidate will have to perform the following tasks:
1. Overseeing the operational security requirements of Hitachi Rail Sites in the Americas region in line with Physical Security procedures:
Monitoring of supervisory activities carried out for Hitachi Rail sites.
Management of security systems and implementation of the same ensuring the achievement of the established objectives.
Verification of the adoption and compliance with company rules/procedures in the field of Security.
2. Support, upon request, the Physical Security Department in the preparatory activities and subsequently in the operational undertakings for the projects that Hitachi Rail will carry out in the area of competence.
Required Skills/ Knowledge
The selected candidate must have developed through his training and/or through his professional experiences the following skills and competences that will be required in carrying out the activities:
Desired Skills/ Knowledge
5 years’ experience in physical security, maintenance and/or operations and management of security
facilities.
- Experience of working in the management of operations/systems/activities within complex industrial
facilities and sites and/or in the field of transport is considered an additional requirement, which is
relevant for the selection.
Education / Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Languages
- Fluency in written, spoken and oral English.
- Knowledge of additional foreign languages is considered a relevant requirement for the purposes of selection.
