About the Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity available for a highly driven and motivated individual to join Hitachi based at our Dandenong branch in the position of Aftermarket Sales / Product Support Manager. This role will see you positively enabling and leading a team of skilled and motivated field customer and technical support representatives who are passionate about providing a high level of after sales customer support for Hitachi Construction Equipment.

Promoting business growth and development within our after sales business, this role will have you maintaining a positive link between our valued customers and the company, meeting and where possible, exceeding customer expectations in line with budget and project timeframes.

This position will be best suited to a dedicated professional who is connected and committed to delivering exceptional service and maintenance outcomes to achieve Total Customer Satisfaction.

Duties will include but are not limited to;

  • Generate new Service and Parts business to assist in delivering the branch Service and Parts financial targets.
  • Develop joint business development strategies between CSM / CSRs and New Equipment Sales
  • Utilise customer tracking software such as AMT, FIR, CRM etc. Maintain a good working relationship with customers, peers and other departments.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and resources to Customer Support Representatives to achieve individual customer targets, department goals and KPI's.
  • Oversee accuracy and timeliness of quotations and customer invoicing.

About You

  • Technical & Mechanical Aptitude - Relevant trade HD diesel, Mobile plant or HV electrician preferred but not essential
  • Pro-active Leadership - Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a talented team of field based technical representatives, whilst building valuable relationships with customers, peers and the community.
  • Business Development & Strategic Vision - Identifying continual service improvement and actively chasing every new or potential after sales opportunity - after sales experience is a must with a proven understanding of service contracts and service level agreements
  • Financial Coordination - Proven financial acumen with prior exposure to departmental budgets, evaluating parts and labour profitability and project expenditure
  • Personable and Professional Communication Skills - above all else, your personality and charismatic character will be what sets you apart from the rest when dealing with internal and external stakeholders to deliver customer success stories
