Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. With a solid network of branches nationally, we service a multitude of customers, including mining, construction, quarry and forestry with quality equipment and after-sales support.

Due to growth, we have created a new position for a Technical Support (Service) - Construction & Mining Equipment to join our Adelaide Branch (Cavan).

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will take ownership of building and maintaining internal and external customer relationships, whilst delivering high-level technical and product support.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Demonstrating safety leadership and commitment to HCA Safety Policies & Procedures
  • Using strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage and resolve technical issues relating to Hitachi Excavators & Wheel loaders and Bell Articulated Dump Trucks (ADT)
  • Providing professional and high-level technical communications to internal and external customers, with a focus on problem-solving and stakeholder management
  • Ensure that OEM and our company's technical documentation is maintained, updated, and distributed
  • Identifying and implementing product improvement projects by working with OEM support and HCA Engineering team

To be successful, you will need:

  • Relevant mechanical trade or engineering qualifications
  • Experience in civil earthworks or other related industries, either in engineering, maintenance leadership or technical/product support roles
  • Technical understanding of key disciplines; mechanical/electrical systems; schematics, drawings & manual interpretation
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with the ability to effectively liaise and deliver information at a high level to a diverse range of internal and external customers
  • Strong computing skills (Microsoft Office applications)
